Bandcamp Waives Their Revenue Share This Friday To Support Independent Musicians

Many people around the world are being affected by the so called Covid-19 virus these days. Many people are experiencing curfews which limits them from doing their normal work. Independent musicians are experiencing these limitations during these strange times like every one else.

Bandcamp, a music service operation that we here at Shouts think very highly of, are playing their part this Friday and cutting all their revenue shares from music sales.

To raise even more awareness around the pandemic’s impact on musicians everywhere, we’re waiving our revenue share on sales this Friday, March 20 (from midnight to midnight Pacific Time), and rallying the Bandcamp community to put much needed money directly into artists’ pockets.

– Ethan Diamond, Co-Founder and CEO of Bandcamp

So while stuck inside your house why not check out all the amazing music there is on Bandcamp, support independent artists that make this world a bit more beautiful, and use the lockdown to breakdown.

On another, less impressive music service operation, Shouts is selecting and curating some of the protest music being released in 2020. You can also check out our 6 hour playlist of selected protest music from 2019. Check out the music and then, if you can, head over to Bandcamp to support the artists.
