Seven countries, seven voices: meet the artists behind MY BODY, a global song for reproductive justice

On 15 October, the Women’s Global Network for Reproductive Rights released MY BODY, an original multilingual song bringing together seven artists from Argentina, Benin, India, Kenya, Malaysia, Nepal and the Philippines.

The song celebrates bodily autonomy, reproductive freedom and solidarity.

The participating artists each contributed original material in their own language, combining different musical traditions, spoken word and rap.

The project was developed as part of the September 28 International Safe Abortion Day campaign.

The seven artists are:

Rocío Ábalos — Argentina

Lauteux Gbènan-Hossou DOSSOU-YOVO — Benin

Tripti Martin — India

Nzyzi — Kenya

Nuraini Rudi — Malaysia

Pushpa Joshi — Nepal

Tao — Philippines
