Montaigne uses her voice to protest a multinational conglomerate

Montaigne is only 23 years old but already she has achieved raising her mind to a level of becoming vegan and using her powerful voice responsibly to protest destructive corporations and multinational conglomerates. And as if that was not enough to ask of a young woman then she has also released a music album that reached nr. 4 on the Australian charts.

When interviewed at the 2018 ARIA Awards she said that she has become aware of her platform that she has through her music which she uses to talk about what matters to her and what she finds important that everyone gets more aware of.

For more information about the #StopAdani campaign check out their webpage and get involved if possible. While doing so, you could do worse than listening to this live version of Montaigne’s song I Am Not An End.

“Children Don’t Belong in Jail”: new protest song from Luke Buda and Don McGlashan

Quite a few songs have been written about, or to raise awareness of, the inhumane conditions individuals and families experience that are forcefully constrained within the refugee camp on the South Pacific island of Nauru. A new collaboration between Luke Buda and Don McGlashan raises awareness about the issue. It has been reported that children are suffering within the refugee camp and Doctors Without Borders have raised their grave concerns over the matter.

We should all be able to agree that children do not belong in jail. At any moment.

Here are more organizations that work with refugee rights in the region:

Support California fire relief through music

Recent wildfires in California have been some of the more devastating in the states’ history. Anyone interested in helping can donate to several organizations that are on the ground like American Red Cross and California Community Foundation. New York Times recently made a list of organizations one can donate to.

There are often some artists out there that use their voice to reach more people in order to spread the dire word. After all, we all have to what we can and what our talents direct us to do. Raye Zaragoza is one of these artists. As a resident of California state she feels the fires and for her neighbors. In 2017 she published Red Moon, High Tide with Madison Malone in support of organizations offering aid to victims of the then ongoing La Tuna Canyon Forest Fire. Now she is directing all profits from the song to the current fire relief efforts.
